Scenario 1

You open a Microsoft word file or create a new file and want to save in your computer

Step 1

Press Ctrl + S to save the data on your file so that when you open it will retrieve all the data without any loss.

Step 2

Click on the File option on the left upper side of the Microsoft word file options will show like this image

Save for temporary save like Ctrl + S means you will save the only data on this file.

Select the second option Save As  the second option from the list and click on Save As.

Click on save as these options will come means where you want to save the word document on your computer location folder and then give the name to your word file and click on Save as showing in the bottom.

Scenario 2

You want to save a word file from folder one to another folder/copy Microsoft word file from one folder to another folder

Step 1

Open the folder where your Microsoft file is exists

Step 2

Right-click on Microsoft word file and click on copy for copy the file.

 

Step 3

Now go to the folder or location where you want to save your word file and right-click and select option Paste.

Step 4

After clicking on paste, your data is pasted a new file is created from the first file to the second file.

 

Note:

 If you don’t want to remain the first file and want your file at the second location only then click on cut means first where you copy the file will not exists and only exists where you paste your file.
